The New Twitter or the Old Myspace?

I just got access to Twitters revolutionary new design…

And was quickly reminded of the old school MySpace design…

Uncanny isn’t it?

MySpace is still #61 according to Google's rankings, with over 45 million unique users per month! Also, you want to see a site copycatting the old MySpace, take a look at friendproject.net!

The web is regressing. I'm seeing it everywhere. I'm starting to think "shitty UX/UI" is an indicator of froth.

I'm also just flat out skeptical of Twitter now. The founders haven't exactly gotten along or worked together - the company's product seems to be the biggest point of contention between stakeholders. That's a bit frightening. There's no Mark Zuckerberg. No Mark Pincus. Nobody who's owned the vision from day one; Jack might be the leader there but he's splitting time between two of the largest startups in the Valley. Imagine if Zuck was also running Salesforce's product.
